it would be nice if the parish council represented a broader section of the residents who live in the village, I kinda think of them as the vicar of dibley parish council meetings only not as funny!!
if you read some of the minutes from there meetings on this site (yes i no, i have no life!) it seems all they ramble on about is allotments, allotment fences, allotment costs, the little man who sells produce from his allotment (nice it is too, ya know who i mean, sits there on the corner of pasture lane freezing to death for a few quid!) instead of dishing out money and grants on pointless things that hardley anyone benefits from, they should take on board some views of maybe some younger people or just ordinary people in general, if your going to pay for hanging baskets then get hanging baskets that have an impact on the village not crappy plastic crates hanging 15 ft up a tree with a half dead plant in! although to be fair they have done some good stuff too, such as the picnic tables in the park, they seem to be a little bit inaccesable although I think you can go to some meetings but to be honest Im 32 with 2 kids I work full time and any spare time I have aint going to be spent at no dibley council meetings talking about freda from the third allotment on the top rows ornamental cabbages!!
